Job Overview

We are seeking a qualified and experienced Plumber to join our team and take on a wide range of plumbing responsibilities. This role involves the installation, maintenance, and repair of water and gas supply lines, heating systems, and a variety of plumbing fixtures and appliances in both residential and commercial settings. The ideal candidate will have a strong working knowledge of plumbing systems, be able to read and interpret blueprints, and consistently follow safety protocols and local plumbing codes.

We’re looking for someone who is not only technically skilled, but also reliable, punctual, and detail- oriented. A commitment to high-quality workmanship and excellent customer service is essential, as you will often interact directly with clients to assess issues, explain solutions, and ensure their satisfaction. The ability to work both independently and as part of a team is important, along with strong problem-solving skills and a professional attitude.

Main Responsibilities of the Role

  • Carry out site-based remedial works on hot and cold-water systems, including repairs, replacements, and upgrades, ensuring all work meets industry standards and customer expectations.
  • Perform routine maintenance of plumbing systems as required, identifying issues before they become larger problems.
  • Work independently or collaboratively as part of a 2 or 3-person operational delivery team to complete tasks efficiently and within set deadlines.
  • Provide a high level of service to customers, maintaining a professional and respectful presence in client homes at all times.
  • Adhere to all health, safety, and compliance regulations, ensuring a safe working environment for yourself, your team, and clients.
  • Participate in the company’s standby rota as part of the on-call team, responding to emergency plumbing issues and carrying out urgent repairs outside of standard working hours.

Qualifications Required

  • NVQ Level 2 in Plumbing (or equivalent) is essential.
  • A valid Full UK Driving Licence is required for travel to and between job sites.
  • Unvented hot water qualification is required.
  • Gas Safe certification would be advantageous but is not essential for this role.
